On 18 July 2014, Onésimus Defense was awarded a prime contract to provide Fall Protection / Rope Rescue Certification and Re-certification Training to National Weather Service (NWS) personnel who climb and work at heights in the performance of routine maintenance and emergency repairs to equipment and instruments installed on meteorological, communication, and radar towers, around the globe.  Designed to instill safety, fall protection theory and to qualify individuals as “competent persons,” this 2.5-day training program begins with an introduction to fall protection systems, equipment, use and the proper procedures in which to perform required inspections, while complying with NWS-agency specific, ANSI / ASSE Z359 guidance, all applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards.
